Two-wheeler manufacturers are currently clearing their inventory before the new emission guidelines commence from April 1, 2017. The future of the unsold BSIII rated compliant models is still uncertain. Automakers in India would have to furnish a detailed report about these vehicles to the Supreme Court, based on which, the Apex Count will decide whether to allow the sales of those products post March 31, 2017.
Manufacturers such as Kawasaki and Honda were offering their products at discounted prices to clear their respective inventory and if latest reports are to be believed, Ducati has joined the bandwagon too. A recent report published by motoring portal Rushlane suggests that Ducati is offering the BSIII rated Scrambler at discount of upto INR 2 lakh.
According to the report, the base variant of the Scrambler range, the Icon is available at an discount of INR 1.5 lakh. The premium variants, namely the Urban Enduro, Classic and Full Throttle are being offered at an discount of INR 2 lakh. And in case you’re wondering, you’d get your hands on a motorcycle which draws 75 PS of power and 68 Nm of torque from its 803 cc L-Twin, Desmodromic distribution, air cooled engine.
